This Is My Story

James Knirs, born in the Midwest in 1991.

     He and his husband, Daniel, share their home with two Pomeranian fur babies, Rumple and Zara, and six fish; Chloe, Bubbles, Ezra, Zippy, Shere Khan, and Dracula. Since Grand-pups are out of the question, James hopes for Grand-Fish one day.

     James loves to write and is so excited to share his stories with the world. He is currently working on the 4th book of his Descendants of Freyr series. James hopes to be able to share many other stories.

     James is passionate about genealogy and started  Untangled Roots to professionally assist others in discovering their ancestry and occasionally finding new relatives! James also volunteers at the Lapeer Historical Society where he is a docent. On 5-10-2020 James started the Imlay City, Michigan History Facebook page. As of 3-30-2021 the page has grown to 2745 people. James is currently working on digitizing a collection of Imlay City, Michigan yearbooks to add to the page. 

     When James isn’t writing, researching for an up coming novel, or digging up ancient facts, he can be found spending time with his loved ones, keeping up with the residents of the fictional town of Salem, IL, watching Movies/TV shows, or reading.
